Hand measurements and relationships

It is vital that the CuddlyClaws mitts stay on all night, are comfortable to wear and protect the wearer from their own scratching and rubbing. 

One interesting discovery while designing the mitts was the relationships of the body and its various parts. Like your foot being the size of your elbow to wrist, the hand has some interesting relationships as well. Give or take a little based on flexibility and size, most peoples hand span (little finger tip to thumb tip) is roughly the same or frequently only slightly longer than the length (wrist to middle finger tip). This is the reason for the round shape of our mitts. Also, the wrist girth is close to this same measurement.

Hand Width - From little finger tip to tip of thumb

Hand Length - From middle finger to wrist

Wrist Circumference - Around the wrist at the base of the hand
